Ben joined MHUMC in September of 2024 as our new Choir Director and Organist.  Ben is a two-time graduate of Baylor University in his native Texas, where he earned degrees in Church Music and Divinity. After several years as a music teacher and accompanist in Virginia, he came to Cincinnati in 2018 to begin doctoral studies in ethnomusicology at CCM. He has served churches variously as pianist, organist, and music director in Texas, Virginia, and Ohio, and loves nothing more than hearing a congregation sing. In addition to (eventually) finishing his dissertation, he works for the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library and accompanies and sings in the Cincinnati Camerata. He is also an avid traveler, reader, language nerd, board gamer, and home cook. Ben lives in Northern Kentucky.  Mbengriffen@gmail.com
