ELEVATE is a place where you can be known and belong.
At ELEVATE we are about creating an environment where teenagers can authentically be themselves and share their stories. Our prayer is that they would see how God’s Story intersects with their own. We invite students to engage in a meaningful faith practice and into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to help elevate each students spiritual life and ultimately guide them into a life of discipleship. ELEVATE is a special gathering for students in 6th-12th grade.

KidsZONE and KidsCONNECT
Sunday Mornings at 9:30 am and 11 am
Children’s Ministry is a very important part of MHUMC. KidsZONE @9:30 am and KidsCONNECT @ 11:00 am were developed just for kids! Our teachers and assistants use age appropriate, creative learning methods to encourage children to develop a relationship with God. Our desire is to make their time with us their favorite hour of the week.

SENIOR SINGLES

ASBURY CHAPEL & ARTS CENTER
Asbury Chapel, a beloved historical landmark in the heart of the Cincinnati neighborhood of Monfort Heights, embarked on an exciting new chapter in its storied history. Originally established in 1836, this beloved landmark reopened its doors in November 2024 a fresh vision for the community. BLESSING BAGS
The pandemic magnified some of the tremendous needs of people who are living on the margin, and in response, our Blessing Bags ministry was born. MHUMC distributes non-perishable and perishable grocery and household items to people in our community who are in need. Blessing Bags are available on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at 9am. You’ll find us set up in the Parking Lot, or in inclement weather, just inside the lower lobby. Our Blessing Bags ministry is supported by donations through our church and our community. COMMUNITY DINNER
Monfort Heights UMC offers a free Community Dinner each Wednesday, from 6pm-7:30pm. Gather with your neighbors to share a meal and hear a short message about God’s love for you. All are invited. Community Dinner takes place at Asbury Chapel & Arts Center. More information HERE
WHIZ KIDS
Help children right here in our community become better readers and share the LOVE of Jesus with them! We work with 3rd through 5th grade students from Monfort Heights Elementary. Whiz Kids is a literacy-based, one-to-one tutoring and mentoring program. Starting in early October, and going through the month of April, tutoring takes place on Tuesday afternoons from 4:00 – 5:30 pm at Monfort Heights United Methodist Church.

BLAST after school program for 4th & 5th graders
BLAST meets on Wednesday afternoons, September – May. Monfort Heights Elementary students in 4th and 5th grade are invited to come across the street for lots of games, a snack, and fun. BLAST runs until 5:30, and students will need to be picked up by 6:00 pm. HOMEWORK? You Bet! From 5:30 – 6:00, we’ll make sure BLAST kids get started on their homework, offering all the help we can. We are partners with you in providing this structured after-school care, fun and free of charge, one day a week. More information HERE.

SUMMER BLAST
Children entering grades 2-5 are invited to join us for our Summer BLAST program. This free program takes place each Wednesday during the month of June, from 9am-3pm. Summer BLAST is a whole day of fun games and activities, including a light breakfast and lunch each day. Registration is open now, here.
